Name of Position: Outreach Facilitator
Organization Unit: Outreach Division
General Summary: Will be working primarily with the new Recess Programs, providing organized recreational activities at various elementary school locations throughout western Warren County weekly throughout the school year. Responsible for planning, conducting, supervising, and actively participating in age-appropriate games and activities that encourage physical activity, teamwork, and positive social interaction during recess. Will interact with and supervise elementary-aged youth in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment. May also assist with special events, camps, community programs, and other department functions as needed.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and enjoy working with children. 1-4 years of recreation-based programming or athletic experience preferred. Warren County is an equal opportunity employer.
Special Work Conditions: Employees will be required to work several nights and weekends, but most shifts are during the day (11 a.m.- 2 p.m.). Work will be conducted both in indoor and outdoor settings and in all weather conditions.
Position Wage: This is a part-time position. Rate of pay is $14.50/hour. 20-25 hours per week

Essential Job Functions:
- Provide, conduct, and supervise various recreational activities and games to a variety of ages and cultures.
- Be able to teach basic recreational games and activities.
- Coordinate weekly event schedules with the Outreach Manager to ensure program sites are prepared for activities.
- Be able to be flexible and adapt to the interests of youth involved in the program.
- Be adaptive, enthusiastic, flexible, and can work with large groups of children.
- Drive a van or other vehicle to various locations if needed.
- Supervise and lead participants in activities and games.
- Be motivated and have a positive attitude.
- Work in various weather conditions, including heat and humid conditions.
- Work various WCPRD events if staff is needed
- Responsible for setting up, cleaning up, taking down, and organizing all resources for event and recess areas – fields being utilized, etc.
- Be punctual and work as an effective team with other recreational / school-based staff members.
- Have effective communication skills and the ability to handle stressful/large crowd situations.
- Have effective organizational skills for tracking, inventorying various program supplies, and requesting additional materials as needed through chain of command.
- Responsible for creating and submitting weekly activity reports and participation counts to the Outreach Manager.
- Complete any other duties assigned by the Outreach Manager or Director of Parks.
