Michael O. Buchanon Park

In 2021, the Warren County Tennis and Sports Facility was opened adjacent to the existing gymnasium. The new 88,000 sq. ft. facility boasts 6 indoor tennis courts, 6 outdoor tennis courts, 4 racquetball courts, an indoor playground, a meeting room, and a branch of the Warren County Public Library. In 2022 the facility received the USTA Kentucky Facility of the Year, and in 2023 it was recognized nationally by the USTA as an Outstanding Facility.

In 2018 a new 56,000 square foot gymnasium facility was added to the Michael O. Buchanon Park and includes four middle school courts, two high school courts, four indoor volleyball courts, two indoor batting cages and three meeting room facilities available for public use. Applicable fees and charges may apply.

Michael O. Buchanon Park, named for the Warren County Judge Executive, is located on Nashville Road, one mile south of the Rich Pond community. The L&N/CSX Railroad forms its eastern border. Warren County Fiscal Court purchased this 92-acre park in 1997 from David A. and Kendra Howell and Billy J. Bell.

This park was originally developed with a four-field, lighted softball complex, and a second comparable complex was completed in 2012. These facilities host numerous softball tournaments throughout the year, bringing patrons to Bowling Green from across the United States.
