  1. Remove mosquito habitats
  2. Get rid of standing water in old tires, rain gutters, puddles
  3. Empty buckets, toys, potted plant trays, bird baths, toys, plastic covers at least once a week
  4. Drain temporary pools
  5. Keep swimming pools treated and circulating

Warren County works to control adult mosquitos by using an aerial spraying technique, which targets large areas with only a small amount of pesticides. These types of techniques have been fully evaluated by the EPA and do not harm the environment or people if used according to instructions. This type of spraying is one of the fastest and best options to fight adult mosquitos that carry mosquito-borne illnesses. As the tiny droplets are sprayed, they remain airborne as long as possible and kill mosquitos in the air on contact.
