Biography

Born March 1, 1952 on the family farm in Allen County, Michael O. Buchanon is the son of Juanita Buchanon of Bowling Green and the late R. O. Buchanon. Mike Buchanon has lived in Warren County since he was seven years old and when the family moved to Bowling Green. During his youth, Buchanon attended Glendale Baptist Church, T.C. Cherry Elementary School, Bowling Green High School and Western Kentucky University. He and his wife, Ellen, are active members of Christ Episcopal Church and have two sons, Michael (and wife, Carrie) and Roy. Ellen and Mike are grandparents to three granddaughters, Zoë, Pyra and Ellie and two grandsons, Miles and Max.

Mike has been serving as Warren County Judge-Executive since being elected in 1993.
