Doug Gorman represents the citizens of the first district in Warren County. Gorman was elected to his first term in November 2014 and began serving the citizens as Magistrate of Warren County on January 1, 2015.
He first came to Bowling Green and Warren County in the Fall of 1981 to attend Western Kentucky University. Gorman lettered 4 years on the Hilltopper Soccer team before earning his degree in December of 1985 in Business Management.
Currently Gorman is the President and owner of Booth Fire & Safety, Inc. Booth Fire is a 50 year old locally owned fire protection company.
He has been very involved in economic development efforts over the past 2 decades. He was a board member of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce for 10 years and was Chairman of that board in 2008. Additionally he serves on the BG Area Economic Development Authority board.
In 2009 he was appointed by Warren County to be Chairman on the inaugural Warren County Downtown Economic Development Authority (TIF) board. Since that time, he has been involved with over $325 Million of capital investment in the downtown TIF district.
He is married to Michelle Gorman, a small business banker at US Bank. They have 5 children Brittney (Terris) Parrish, Kelli Disney, Joey Gorman, Austin Disney and Christina Gorman. They are the proud grandparents of Gracie Disney and have another granddaughter on the way in August ‘16 courtesy of Brittney & Terris Parrish. The Gormans attend Crossland Community Church.
