Warren County Judge/Executive

The Judge/Executive is the elected chief administrator of county government and executes the policies and budget set forth by the Fiscal Court.

Doug Gorman was elected Judge/Executive in November 2022. Previously, he was First District Magistrate from 2015-2022. Counties are the cornerstone of Kentucky’s quality of life, whether geographically large or small, densely or sparsely populated.

As state and local government evolve to meet the changing needs of the citizens we represent, counties will continue to play a prominent role.

About the Judge/Executive

Doug Gorman was elected Judge/Executive in November 2022 and began serving the citizens of Warren County on January 2, 2023. Previously, he was First District Magistrate from 2015-2022.

He first came to Bowling Green and Warren County in the fall of 1981 to attend Western Kentucky University. Gorman lettered 4 years on the Hilltopper soccer team before earning his degree in December of 1985 in Business Management.

Gorman owned and managed Booth Fire & Safety in Bowling Green from 1995–2020 until the sale of the business. He was awarded the Small Business Person of the Year in 2000.

Judge GormanHe has been very involved in economic development efforts over the past two decades. He was a board member of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce for 10 years and was Chairman of that board in 2008. Additionally, he served on the BG Area Economic Development Authority board.

In 2009 he was appointed by Warren County to be Chairman on the inaugural Warren County Downtown Economic Development Authority (TIF) board. Since that time, he has been involved with over $325M in capital investment in the downtown TIF district.

He is married to Michelle Gorman, a Vice President and Financial Advisor for Pinnacle Financial Partners. Together they have 5 children: Brittney (d) (Terris) Parrish, Kelli Disney, Joey Gorman, Austin Disney, and Christina (Jeff) Ranger. They are the proud grandparents of Gracie Disney and Emery Rose Parrish. The Gormans attend Crossland Community Church.
